HISTORY OF RUSSIA AND BATTLE ART: OPPORTUNITIES AND DANGERS OF INTERACTIONS IN EDUCATION

Our subject of research and analysis is the relationship between the history of Russia and fine art. More precisely, the possibilities and dangers of using battle art works in the training program for the course "History of Russia". The article is not about the history of Russian painting, but about the reasons for the contradictions of the use of battle scenes of fine art in teaching the subject "History of Russia" in universities and other higher educational institutions where millions of students study. We identify, discuss and analyze the problems and difficulties of methodological, psychological and historical-political properties for the use of artistic and battle material in historical education. An attempt is made not so much to expand the content of the concept of "education through art" as to show the dual nature of this process. And explain the reasons and conditions of preferences for the active introduction of battle visual art into historical education.
